Brent "Boomer" Harvey

Brent "Boomer" Harvey
 
Brent "Boomer" Harvey is an AFL player who plays for the North Melbourne Football Club. He is thirty-four years old and has played 346 games for the club. Brent has played the most games for North Melbourne Football Club. He is one of the best players to put on a North Melbourne jumper. Boomer has also kicked 410 goals. Brent plays in the forward line and sometimes as a midfield.
 
Brent's biggest achievements are playing in the 1999 premiership side and winning five best and fairests. He has been an All-Australian  times and he was a runner up in the Brownlow Medal in 2007. He represented Australia five times in the International Rules. He has signed with North Melbourne for next season but he has been suspended for six weeks.

Malcolm Blight was an AFL player who played for the North Melbourne Football Club between 1974-82. He won a Brownlow medal and kicked 100 goals in a season. Blight coached Geelong and North Melbourne. He also coached Adelaide to two premierships.
 
In 1976 Blight kicked one of the most famous goals of all time. He was playing for North Melbourne and they were playing Carlton. He had already kicked two goals in overtime and North Melbourne were trailing by one point. Malcolm then marked the ball eighty metres out and the siren went. Blight went back and unleashed one of the best torpedoes ever seen. It sailed straight through the big sticks. North Melbourne won by five points.

Wayne Carey

Wayne "King" Carey

 
Wayne Carey was one of the greatest players to play AFL football. He played for North Melbourne for most of his career and Adelaide for his last two years. He played in the centre half-foward position. He played 244 games and kicked 671 goals for North Melbourne. He played for North Melbourne for 13 years. He was nicknamed the King.

In 2002 he had an affair with his best friend Anthony Steven's wife. Wayne Carey left North Melbourne to go play for Adelaide. He played 28 games and kicked 67 goals between 2003-2004. He then retired from AFL football. He is now a commentator on Triple M

North Melbourne Football Club is a 4 time premiership team. In the year 2012 North Melbourne finished 8th on the ladder. They clashed with West Coast in the Elimination Final. The match was played at Patersons Stadium in Perth. It wasn't a great game which West Coast won 162-66. It was North's first final since 2008. They had a really good second half of the season.


Brad Scott is the coach of North Melbourne. He played 22 games for Hawthorn and 146 games for Brisbane. He won 2 premierships with Brisbane. North Melbourne have 3 assistant coaches. Brad Scott has coached since 2010.

North's best players are Drew Petrie, Andrew Swallow, Daniel Wells and Brent Harvey. Drew Petrie came 5th in the Coleman Medal in 2012. Andrew Swallow is the captain of North Melbourne. Daniel Wells is an awesome player. Brent Harvey nickname is Boomer, he has nearly played 350 games for the club.
